We've done our first trail run together this evening.
The trail run was full of steep uphills and downhills from the beginning to the end.
Luckily more than 80% of the run was under the shade with the cool evening air.
Both my son Martin and I pushed ourselves today way more than our usual training runs.
Our competitive soul hidden deep in us came out by running with other runners today.
Having your loved one right next to me help me to be strong and focused throughout the run.
My 7 year old, Martin surprised me and impressed me tremendously today.
He did not stop for a second and kept up with me during 4.63 mile trail run.

オニールリージョナルパークにて、今日は6ｐｍからタコ チューズデートレイルラン!
７歳の長男と初めて一緒の参加です。走ったコースは7.45キロ．．．スタートからフィニッシュまで、
これまた空まで行ってしまいそうな急な登り坂と、走ったら足がもつれてころころ転がってしまうのでは．．．みたいな急な下り坂ばっかり！
ラッキーだったのは、コースの８０割以上が陰の上、夕方の冷えっとするような涼しい山の空気。
本番では、息子も私も普段のトレーニング以上に、自分の限界を超えるところまでプッシュできた感じ。 他のランナーと走る事で、体のどこかに潜んでいた競争心に火がついたみたいです。
愛する息子が隣で必死に走っている姿にも、私は随分と支えられました。
今日のトレイルランでは、息子の頑張る姿に本当に驚かされ、また息子を心から誇りに思えた瞬間が沢山ありました。記録は５０分49秒とまあまあ（順位的には真ん中ぐらい）でしたが、完走です。
長男、宝との始めてのトレイルラン、私にとっては一生の思い出、そして「宝」の一つになりそうです。
