シアトル在住の地質学者であるエッド・ニクソンは、アメリカ合衆国第３７代大統領の弟さんです。
やはり血の繋がった兄弟だけあって、顔の輪郭や特徴のあるお鼻がそっくりだな～って思いました。エッドのちょっとした仕草や身振りにも、私が見てきたリチャードニクソンの写真とダブって、感動してしまいました。
未来を築きあげていく子供達へ彼が送ったメッセージは、”世の中にある”ロック”な事を毎日学ぼう！”でした。 これって、地質学者である彼専門の“石”と、国を反映させていく”意思”（ロックな精神）が掛かってる～、もしかして?
We were Richard Nixon Presidential Library today to meet Ed Nixon.
He is a geologist who flew from Seattle to tell us his memories of his late brother, our 37th president, Richard Nixon.
He surely looks a lot like Richard Nixon, and even the way he carries himself reminded me of lots of pictures of Richard Nixon I've seen before.
One of the messages Ed sent to the children at the event was "Learn something "rocks"(coming from him being a geologist I guess...) in this world everyday".
