Christmas Performance at Gavin's Preschool!
He stood there on stage, looking "Amazed" by the Christmas decorations, and his schoolmates singing so well.  He was looking up, right, left, and but to the audience.  He did nothing but singing & dancing during the entire performance.  Oh, well...

今日はギャビンのプリスクール、クリスマスパフォーマンス！
ステージに立っている間は、ずっと上を見たり、左を見たり、右を見たりして、全く前を見てくれなかった彼。

クリスマスソングや賛美歌を、振り付きで上手に歌うお友達を、ステージの上で鑑賞して楽しんでたという感じでした。パフォーマンスの後は、保護者持ち寄りのフィンガーフードで、家族で参加のちょっとしたパーティーを楽しみました。

昨夜はチャーリー、デートだったようです。 デートのお相手は、あのティンカーベル！
ティンカーベルを、ミッスルトー（やどり木）の真下に吊り下げられたブランコにリードしたチャーリー．．．もう～、スムーズなんだから～。
あれ～、チャーリーの口元にローズカラーの口紅が！．．．やったね！チャーリー。

Looks like Charlie was on a date with Tinker Bell last night !
A smooth move, Charlie for getting her on a swing hanging right underneath the Mistletoe. ^_^
Oh, wait!  I see rose  lipstick on his lips and all around! 
I guess the date went very well.

先日掛けたばかりのストッキングが… ぜ~んぶ床に投げ捨てられた～！

そして、代わりに下着が飾られてる～！
これは、チャーリーお決まりの悪戯で、毎年恒例の行事に成ってしました。
まあ、やられる度に新しいパンツ/パンティーがいただけるので、有難いんですけどね。(*^^*)
It's only been a few days since we hanged our Christmas stockings!
Charlie has done it again!  He dropped all our stockings on the floor, and hanged an underwear for each of us.  I would say this has become his signature mischief move every year. 
We don't mind it at all as we gain a brand new underwear!

The Elf on the Shelf (棚の上のエルフ) 、チャーリー版 2013 - Day 5

When we woke up this morning, we found Charlie captured by miniature Army soldiers 

and tied to the Lego base! 

Shame on you, Charlie for your attempt to play planks on my 8 year old by placing explosives on his most recent creation of Lego house.

I remember he had succeeded in destroying Martin's Lego creation 

and he got Martin pretty upset.

Thanks to the Army for protecting Martin's "Little engineer's shack"!

朝起きてリビングに行くと、チャーリーがミニチュア陸軍兵士達に捕獲されているではありませんか!
それも、Legoのベースに縛られています!
去年やらかした、『宝の作ったLegoハウスを崩したぜ事件』の未遂のようです。

悪戯にも度が過ぎると叱られて、反省していたかのように見えましたが、一年経ってしまうと、

The Elf on the Shelf (棚の上のエルフ) 、チャーリー版 2013 - Day 4

According to the weather forecast, we're expecting the temperature to drops toward the weekend.  What a bummer! Charlie just got here in warm sunny Southern California from freezing North Pole!

He must be disappointed with the chilly winter weather for the next couple days. . . so I thought.  Charlie situated himself and his friends in this warm indoor beach setting.

If the weather doesn't corporate, I guess you can always make your own!

It looks that Charlie is making a move with the girl next to him by offering to rub the sunblock on her back. ^ ^

今晩の天気予報によると、今週末にかけて、気温が随分とドロップするらしい。
せっかく凍えそうなノースポール（北極）を離れ、太陽いっぱいの暖か~い南カリフォルニアに来たばっかりなのに残念! 

冬のこの寒い気候にがっかりで、落ち込んでいるのかと思いきや、友達カップルとこんな室内ビーチでゆっくり寛いでいるではありませんか。
寒い気候が嫌だったら、自分で好きな気候を作っちゃえばいいんですね。
あれれ～、チャーリー！ 日焼け止めを背中に塗ってあげる振りして、お隣のカワイコちゃんにせまってないかい？全く、チャーリーときたら．．．。

There was a Fight in my dining room during the night. . . !!
Don't you worry.  It was just a snow fight using marshmallow on our dining table.
It's not fair! There is MLB player C. J. Wilson on Charlie's team!!

あらま～、昨夜我が家のダイニングぐテーブルで、戦いがあったようです!!
．．．と言っても、雪合戦だったんですけどね。それも、マシュマロを使って。^ ^
チャーリーのチームには、ナンとメージャーリーグベースボールプレイヤー、エンジェルスの
C.J.ウィルソンがいるじゃないですか!　それってズルくないかい？

Charlie, our Elf on the Shelf look like he played "Superheros" with some of Gavin's superhero toys while we were deep in our sleep last night. 
We found them hanging from the ceiling fan this morning.

我が家の『棚の上のエルフ』チャー リーは、私達が深い眠りについている間、ギャビンのスーパーヒーローの玩具とスパーヒーローごっこをして遊んだようです。朝起きると、リビングのシーリン グファンに、ケープとマスクをしてぶら下がるチャーリーを発見! シーリングファンの風力は”Fast"にして空中を舞うスリルを満喫できたかな？

 

 

 

 

 

  

Thanksgiving Dinner Leftover?

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is eating leftover. . .
Due to the fact we never host Thanksgiving dinner and make only a side dish and a dessert to take with us to our brother-in law's house, we never end up with the leftover.
The problem solved!  I made the entire Thanksgiving dinner tonight minus pumpkin pie!
Now, we can enjoy the leftover for a few days!!   I'm finally happy.

感謝祭で私が一番のお気に入りは、ターキーディナーの残り物を食べる事！
だけど、いつも義弟の家へお呼ばれして、サイドディシュやデザートを持ち寄るだけなので、残り物をエンジョイ出来ないんです。
問題解決です！グリーンビーンキャセロール、ヤムキャセロール、スタッフィング、マッシュトポテト、クランベリーソース、そして七面鳥の丸焼き、今日全て作ってしまいました！
これで、残り物を2～3日楽しめるぞ～。やっと幸せな気分になれた。私って、なんて食いしん坊なんだろう．．．。

今日は12月１日．．．クリスマスまであっという間です。

The Elf on the Shelf (棚の上のエルフ) 、チャーリー版 2013 - Day 1

December 1st, 2013

"Mama! Mama! Charlie is back!  Charlie is back!". . . I woke up this morning to my 8 year old screaming to my ears.  Yes! It's time again for Charlie the Elf on the Shelf's adventure at The Chrisman Family until Christmas Eve!

He will watch if the Chrisman boys, Martin, Zachary, and Gavin are behaving well everyday and report back to Santa Clause everyday while he entertains us with his little mischief. 　
My boys tend to behave nicely during this time as they all don't want their names recorded on the Santa's "Naughty List" especially when Charlie is around watching them reporting Santa about them.

Charlie came back this year with nice souvenirs of Advent chocolate calendars for the whole family and refreshment mints in a cute "the Elf on the shelf" shaped tin can ornament for the boys.


My 3 year old was a bit upset as Charlie beat him to our wall countdown.  My boys wake up early during this time of the year just to beat each other for moving the candy cane every morning.  Good news is I don't have to wake them up, but the bad news is to see 2 upset little faces because they woke up 2nd and 3rd to miss the opportunity of moving the candy cane.



12月1日、今朝は耳元で　｢ママ！ママ！ チャーリーが帰って来てるよ！　チャーリーが帰って着てるよ－－－!｣という長男の大声で起こされました。

クリスマン家とチャーリー、棚の上のエルフのアドベンチャーの始まり、始まり！

去年ブログをフォローされた方々にとっては、我が家の棚の上のエルフ、チャーリーは、既にお馴染みですね。子供達が起きている間は、いい子でいるかを棚の上から監視し、ノースポールに戻ってサンタクロースに報告。毎晩皆が寝静まった頃にノースポールから戻ってきて、いろんないたずらを仕出かす｢棚の上のエルフ｣のジャーナルです。　息子達は、自分の悪い行いをサンタクロースにレポートされ、Naughty Listに載せられては困ると、この期間は特別おりこうさんにしてくれます。

今年は、アドベントカレンダーと｢棚の上のエルフ｣の形のティン缶オーナメントのリフレッシュミントをお土産に、我が家に戻ってきたチャーリー。マ マ特製のサンタの壁掛けカウントダウン、第一日目を先取りしたチャーリーに、末っ子ギャビンはちょっとご機嫌斜めになってしまいました。明日は、僕が早起 きして2日目のポケットにキャンディケインを移すのだと張り切る末っ子ですが、ステップストゥールちゃんと上れるか少し心配です。
