Redwood Grove Hike - Carbon Canyon Regional Park

We did our annual Redwood Grove Hike with Josh, the park ranger at Carbon Canyon Regional Park.  The redwoods there were planted when the park was established as they aren't native to here in Southern California.

It's a small patch of redwoods, but it still gives a close feel of Redwood National & State Park in Humboldt county in Northern California.

You will feel some kind of special power of giant redwood trees when you stand there in the woods.  Another thing you feel is the cold air just coming down on you to soothe you completely.
It's such an amazing feeling... I don't mind a 1.5 mile hike under the hot sun to get there.
As you can see in the photos, my boys seemed to be acting more lively and feeling happier in the redwoods.

夏休み恒例、レッドウッド グローブ ハイキング!
パークレンジャーのジョシュの案内で、カーボンキャにオン公園にあるRedwood Groveにハイキングに行ってきました。 ここのレッドウッドツリーは、人工造林された小さな森ですが、ハンボルトカウンティーにあるレッドウッドナショナルパークの広大な森の雰囲気を、たっぷり味わえます。

巨大なレッドウッドツリーの下に立って、自然の偉大さとレッドウッドツリーの持つ言葉では表せないほどのパワーを感じながら、ちっぽけな自分の存在に気づきます。そして、森林の天辺から振り落とされんばかりの冷たい空気が、体中を完全に包み、癒してくれます。

真夏には最高のパワースポットで、ゆったりとした時間を過ごしました。
息子達も、普段より生きいきとした表情で、抱き合ったり、かけっこしたり、歌を歌ったりしながら、とっても幸せそうな笑顔を沢山こぼしていました。
