Bowers Museum Visit Vol. 1 (バワーズ美術館訪問 その1)

オレンジ郡サンタアナ市、コロニアル時代の歴史を語る建物が多く残るこの街に、バワーズ美術館はあります。　こじんまりとして、落ち着ける場所であると同時に、近場で素晴らしいアートの展示が見れる、お気に入りの場所。去年メンバーになってから、新しい展示があるたびに足を向けるようになりました。

今日は、"Where The Wild Things Are"で有名なMaurice Sendakの50周年を記念する、彼のイラスト50展を見にいってきました。

The Bowers Museum is located in the midtown of Sana Ana surrounded by historic homes.  It is one of my most favorite place to visit.  The white beautiful building stands out as it is surrounded by greenery.   It is invitingly beautiful place with variety of famous art exhibits regardless of its small scale.  It is the place you can be relaxed and be stimulated at the same time.

We are here today to see 50 selected illustrations by one of the iconic American illustrators and authors; Maurice Sendak whose work is known by many children, and those who used to be children.
